I think Eureka and I were on totally different wavelengths from the get-go, and we just never found a commonality. I was expecting a bizarre Twin Peaks riff with mad scientists, and that’s not what I got. I couldn’t ever bridge that gap between what I wanted and the show I could watch.That’s not to place any kind of value judgment on one idea over another, because one certainly isn’t better than another. One just spoke to me far more persuasively. Plenty of excellent folks like it, and I’m glad they do. I’d rather people like things than not, generally.
