The Chad and Chadwick situation is an odd one. Chad got introduced as your standard jock/d-bag/chad (see what I did there, huh?) character, but he got a little more interesting (and maybe a bit more disturbing) when we found out Chad as we knew him wasn’t Chad as his life began. Originally, Chad was Chadwick, a weak, sickly, perhaps even geeky/dweeby kid, not unlike Steve Rogers. Rather than put forth the effort required to change the things about himself he could, and accept the ones he couldn’t, Chadwick just engineered a superior cloned body, into which he beamed his consciousness. Chadwick, then, became Chad, and Chadwick was to be confined in a cryogenic freezing pod until… well, I don’t know if he ever thought ahead any further than that. He couldn’t bring himself to destroy himself, I know that for sure.
Of course, Chadwick managed to escape, and it took the combined powers of Chad, Galt, and Kid Robocop to capture the Richard Kimball-esque Chadwick in a sewer showdown. You know as well as I do that we couldn’t have seen the end of Chadwick in those sewers, don’t you?
